Kidderminster Harriers striker Marc Williams was today a doubt for Saturday's visit of Ebbsfleet after picking up an ankle injury in a behind-closed-doors friendly.

Williams was hurt playing for Harriers at Crewe yesterday afternoon and could well miss the Blue Square Premier fixture.

The friendly, at Crewe's training ground, was arranged to give those out of the first team some game time and ended a 1-1 draw, after a stunning goal from Robert Thompson-Brown.

Jack Cresswell also played 45 minutes in his comeback from a groin injury while Mickey Demetriou, Tom Sharpe and Dean Lyness also featured.

And Harriers manager Steve Burr declared the match was a worthwhile run-out, despite the injury to Williams.

Burr said: "With games like this you can always run the risk of picking up injuries, so it's unfortunate Marc has taken a bit of a knock.

"It was a very good game and we created a lot of opportunities, Robbie's goal was a rocket from about 25 yards!

"It's important for the lads who haven't been playing recently to get some time on the pitch, so it was definitely a worthwhile exercise."

One of Burr's most famous predecessors, former Liverpool and Denmark midfielder Jan Molby, is returning to Aggborough for one night only.

The former Harriers boss, who led the club into the Football League as champions in 2000, will host a sportsman's dinner on October 27.
