Stafford Rangers manager Greg Clowes has admitted his side will need "to pull out all of the stops" to pick up their first win of the season.

Rangers face a Marine side tomorrow who come to Marston Road with four wins on the board, three away from home, and are two points off the top of the Evo-Stik Northern League.

Conversely, Clowes' men are third from bottom with two draws from six games and, defensively, have conceded 11 goals in their last two matches.

The home side have moved to arrest that slide by bringing in 17-year-old winger Tamworth winger Rico Taylor on a month's loan, who will join up with the squad tomorrow.

But Rangers will be without goalkeeper Danny Read, who is set to miss the next two games after pulling a muscle in his hip.

Port Vale youngster Sam Johnson continues between the sticks, after being drafted in on a month's loan for Monday's 5-4 defeat at Hednesford.

Kevin Street, Dan Skelton and Liam Shotton were also doubts today but are expected to be passed fit, while Glynn Blackhurst and Jon Sheldon return after missing the Hednesford game through work commitments.

And Clowes has warned it will be all hands on deck as the Rangers boss targets his first three points since taking charge in the summer.

He said: "I need results, I don't care how I get them but, if we keep working hard, I am sure they will come. I know I can put it right and no-one wants to turn this around more than I do.

"We have got to win and we have got to win quick and they don't come any harder than tomorrow.

"We have had Marine watched twice now and they play nice football, with crisp passing, and have got a lot of pace over the team.

"Particularly defending, we are probably going to have to pull out all of the stops on Saturday to get anything out of this game."
