Kidderminster Harriers goalkeeper Danny Lewis has warned Southport "we owe you one" ahead of their return to Aggborough to Saturday.

The two teams meet again in the Blue Square Premier with Lewis wanting to "put to bed" memories of their last clash on the same ground, the home debut of the Harriers No 1 last August.

Lewis had four put past him as Harriers fell to a 4-3 defeat to the newly-promoted visitors, with Southport also taking a point from Steve Burr's men in October's corresponding fixture.

Strikers Matthew McGinn and Matthew McNeil bagged two each at Aggborough last term, although McNeil has now moved on to Chester.

But Lewis still has revenge in mind in an unexpected meeting with the Sandgrounders, who were relegated but reprieved when Rushden & Diamonds were expelled from the Blue Square pyramid.

He said: "Southport play a different style to many – or did at least. They had two big centre forwards and just rain balls into the box, which can be a nightmare for a goalkeeper.

"It's one of those games I would like to put to bed. They didn't win many away from home last year but beat us, so we owe them one really."

Harriers midfielder James Vincent has received an England C call-up for the first time, for the friendly against India under-23s at Dagenham & Redbridge's Victoria Road ground on September 6.

Vincent has been named in the the contingency squad and stands-by to see if he is picked in the final 16-man line up for the game.

It's the first time the 21-year-old has been eligible after spending his career with Stockport, who came down from the Football League this summer.
