Kidderminster Harriers will welcome back striker Steve Guinan and defender Jack Cresswell to the squad for their final pre-season game at Rugby Town.

Guinan sat out Tuesday's friendly at Hinckley after picking up a head wound in the previous game at Wolves, while Cresswell pulled up in the warm-up at the Greene King Stadium and was not risked.

But the two will return at the Valley tomorrow as Harriers boast a full-strength squad, with just a week to go before the Blue Square Premier season opener at home to Gateshead.

Manager Steve Burr will also be back in the dugout after a week away on a scouting mission, with assistant boss Gary Whild leading the team to two wins in his absence.

Harriers round up their summer preparations against Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central opposition tomorrow with four defeats and five victories in pre-season, having won the last four.

And competition is fierce for places going into the new campaign, particularly in the middle of the park.

James Vincent, Kyle Storer, Scott Phelan, Jack Byrne and Callum Gittings are all scrapping out for midfield berths and Whild admits they have left management with plenty of dilemmas.

He said: "The midfield lads will certainly give us plenty of headaches in choosing three or four from them.

"In the last couple of games, we have probably overlooked Callum Gittings as well a bit in the last couple of games, because he hasn't been fit.

"He showed against Hinckley that he is strong and versatile. We used him well last season and he is another one you can throw into the mix."
