Stafford Rangers boss Greg Clowes will welcome back a host of first-team players after vowing to play his strongest side against Tamworth.

Clowes has chopped and changed the team in all of Rangers' five pre-season friendlies so far but the Lambs, who play two division above their hosts, represent stern opposition tomorrow.

There will also be a return to Marston Road for Tamworth manager Marcus Law, a former Rangers goalkeeper, who took charge of the Blue Square Premier club this summer.

His opposite number Clowes will be looking for his side to give a good account of themselves tomorrow, and in Monday night's home friendly against local rivals AFC Telford.

The Rangers boss will welcome Glynn Blackhurst, Alan Nagington, Peter Heler, Charlie Reeves and goalkeeper Danny Read back after they were rested for Tuesday night's game against Norton.

Midfielders Kevin Street and Sean Kinsella could also return, provided they can prove their fitness after hamstring and hip injuries respectively.

And Clowes is expecting Rangers to be tested in their next two games.

He said: "We will play our strongest team from what we have got available and fit, it's a busy few days for us with these two games back-to-back.

"I will play the strongest side that I can but it will be difficult to keep the same team for both games, because these are going to be serious workouts for us.

"I can't imagine anybody will be having five or 10 minutes off in these games, they are going to be a full on couple of matches."
