Kidderminster Harriers manager Steve Burr is expecting his young guns to be put to the test when a youthful Albion side visit Aggborough.

Harriers welcome the Premier League club tonight but most of the Baggies' first-team squad are away, on the club's tour of the United States.

But £1million left-back Joe Mattock and goalkeeper Luke Daniels have been left behind and join a squad that also features professionals Adil Nabi, Romaine Sawyers and Kayleden Brown.

They face a Harriers side themselves packed with young talent and featuring three current England C internationals in Lee Vaughan, Jack Byrne and new signing Kyle Storer.

Storer makes his home debut tonight after the club paid a fee to sign him from Nuneaton, but defenders Tom Sharpe and Tom Marshall are struggling to fit after missing Saturday's game at Leamington with knocks.

Boss Burr has vowed to name a squad from the club's 22 contracted players, meaning trial winger Greg Mills is likely to get a run-out in Thursday's friendly at Stourport Swifts.

The Harriers manager will pit his wits against Albion's sporting director Dan Ashworth, who is in charge of the side as the management team are in the United States.

And Burr is looking forward to seeing two 'young and hungry' sides trying to catch the eye tonight.

He said: "This should be a really good test for our lads - we have a lot of young boys as well so we are looking forward to welcoming Albion to Aggborough and want to thank them for sending a side over.

"It's another busy week for us and there will be a lot of hard work for the players, but that's exactly what this time of year is about."
