Kidderminster Harriers will be forced to wait for next season's fixture list due to the fall out of Rushden & Diamonds' expulsion from the Blue Square pyramid.

The Football Conference will not release the dates for the new campaign until Wednesday morning at the earliest, as the Diamonds' appeal is due to be heard tomorrow.

The troubled Northamptonshire outfit have been kicked out of the Blue Square Premier for finanical reasons, as the club face a winding up order for failing to pay creditors.

Their fate will be decided tomorrow and, if the Conference have their way, the Diamonds will kick off next season in the Zamretto League.

But, until that is iron clad, the Conference have delayed releasing their fixtures for all three of their divisions - the Premier, North and South leagues.

And Harriers, who returned to pre-season training today, will be one of the clubs affected by the news.

The club have also had to distance themselves from rumours linking them to a move for Braintree midfielder Jai Reason.

Reason is well thought of by management at Harriers, but assistant manager Gary Whild insists there is "no substance" to the link.

He added: "We are happy with what we have got at the moment."
