Kidderminster Harriers new-boy Luke Medley admits the "atmosphere" at Aggborough was an attraction after becoming the club's eighth new addition of the summer.
Medley, who turned 22 yesterday, has signed a one-year contract as a free agent after leaving Blue Square Premier rivals Mansfield, departing Field Mill under a cloud.
The pace ace was loaned out to Football League club Aldershot in February after falling out with then-boss Duncan Russell, but returned and played in the Stags' last game of the season.
Mansfield now have former Eastwood manager Paul Cox in charge but Medley has been allowed to move on and Harriers fans know all about what he can do.
The supersub was unplayable entering Mansfield's trip to Aggborough last season, which Harriers lost 3-1 after leading through Tom Shaw's penalty.
Medley scored the equaliser and set up another, with Harriers boss Steve Burr marking down the striker as 'one to watch' ever since.
And Medley admits it was that night at Aggborough that has influenced his decision to switch ships.
He said: "It was my first goal for Mansfield and I did like playing at this ground, there's a good atmosphere.
"The gaffer said that at the back end of last season that the club got a lot more fans as they were pushing for the play-offs.
"Hopefully we can do the same, if not better, this season."
Medley joins forwards Steve Guinan, Marc Williams, Nick Wright, Jamille Matt and Robert Thompson-Brown in the Harriers squad for next season.
Monday's signing, Eastbourne utility man Mickey Demetriou, can also play in attack.
But Medley's arrival puts a further question mark over the future of last season's top scorer Chris McPhee, who has yet to decide on his future.
