Kidderminster Harriers are looking to increase the squad for next season to in advance of 20 players - after admitting they were short on numbers at Aggborough.
Assistant boss Gary Whild has revealed that manager Steve Burr plans to expand the size of the squad for 2011-12, with the club on a more level footing after financial troubles earlier this year.
Vastly improved home gates has increased revenue at Aggborough and chairman Mark Serrell, currently away on holiday on Turkey, is looking to plough the money back into the team.
Whild said: "Compared to this time last year we are in front and it is certainly a lot more comfortable.
"But there is still a lot of work to be done going into pre-season.
"We worked with a small squad last year of between 18 and 20 players and, if last season was anything to learn by, we were probably short of a few options.
"We may look to increase that to between 20 and 22 for this season rather than the 18."
Harriers went into the penultimate game of last season still in with a shout of making the Blue Square Premier play-offs, raising the bar expectation wise at Aggborough.
To go one better next year, Whild believes more manpower will be needed.
He said: "This time last year we were probably happy to finish outside the bottom six with the budget and the lads we had.
"They have raised the bar and it will be difficult to emulate that this season, but we're confident we are moving forward.
"We have brought some good lads in and we're happy with what we've got at the moment."
