Kidderminster Harriers attacker Nick Wright is happy to be the 'wide boy' of the team next season - as long as he can pin down one position.
Wright signed a new one-year contract this summer but blew hot and cold in his first season at Aggborough, making 24 starts with 15 appearances from the bench.
But the 23-year-old still finished as the club's third highest goalscorer with eight, despite switched from up front to the wing in a 4-3-3 formation.
The former England C international has grown to like being pushed out wide but hopes manager Steve Burr will soon decide on a permanent role for him.
Wright said: "I was talking with a few of the lads trying to figure it out and I'm not too sure where the gaffer wants me to play.
"That can be a good thing and a bad thing, really, it's difficult to get mentally ready to play in one position if you are being moved around.
"But I have said before, the gaffer knows what he's doing and so does his assistant Gary Whild.
"I prefer playing 4-3-3 and, hopefully, we can see that again this season."
Wright spent the majority of the back end of the season on the bench, but admits that fatigue from a long season had caught up with him.
He said: "Looking at it now, I think the gaffer was right to leave me out a few times because I was getting tired.
"I can sometimes come across like I'm moody and not interested but that's not really me, so I think it was definitely the right decision.
"I do think I could have scored a few more goals but considering a lot of the games I played weren't as a striker, I did OK."
