Kidderminster Harriers boss Steve Burr was today working on the latest new signings for the club as the recruitment drive at Aggborough reaches fever pitch.

Harriers have already landed six new faces for next season, in addition to 10 players already under contract for another campaign.

Burr is now working on putting the finishing touches to his squad and has already spoken to players he has targeted, with quick deals possible if the two sides can agree terms.

But the Harriers boss must continue to work within the parameters of his budget, which ties his hands to a degree, and rules out bidding wars with the bigger clubs in the division.

However, Burr admits patience could also be the best policy, as unattached players wait to be snapped up in the mad transfer dash leading up to the start of the season.

Harriers were still adding players close to the opening kick-off last summer and the manager admits it could happen again.

He said: "It's a case of seeing how things develop. We are working on the same budget we had last season and the ones we have here already fit in with what we want to do.

"We are still looking and working every day, but there is a good while yet before pre-season starts and longer still since the league starts.

"It's also always the way that good lads become available, and within your structure, more or less at the last minute because they have held on a bit.

"So we're ready for all of that and know what to expect, we're just still taking our time with one or two things."
