Rangers could be relegated on Saturday, if they fail to win at Corby and nearest rivals Hyde win at Workington.
Hyde then a game in hand, which also could seal Rangers' doom, at home to Droylsden on Monday.
Elliott's men regroup for training at Marston Road tonight on the back of three defeats, knowing they will go down if they fail to pick a win over their last two games.
The heat is on but the manager is adamant that his side will not give up until their fate is decided.
He said: "The league table doesn't make for good reading, but we have got to believe that we are capable of getting out of it.
"We have got to keep plugging away, one of these days it will be our day and things will fall for us, or someone will pull something special out of the hat. I firmly believe that could be this weekend.
"If we win and Hyde get a negative result then, all of a sudden, they are looking over their shoulders and will be feeling the pressure a little bit.
"It's far from done and dusted. As we know, to our cost, things can turn around very quickly."
A Rangers reserve side reached the final of the Central Conference Cup last night after a 3-0 win over Worcester at Marston Road.
Craig Smith opened the scoring after 10 minutes, before a goal in each half from Adam McMahon put the home side through.
Rangers will now face either the reformed Ilkeston or Football CV Reds in the final on May 4, which is likely to be away from home as the Marston Road pitch is due to be reseeded the day before.
