Stafford Rangers manager Matt Elliott will be without goalkeeper Lee Evans for the vital visit of Droylsden to Marston Road.

Evans is unavailable tomorrow due to outside commitments, but will be back for Tuesday's final home game of the season against Eastwood.

With the non-transfer deadline passed, Elliott will place his faith in rookie goalkeeper Tom Turner, who has yet to play a league game for Rangers.

Striker Ben Mills also faces a race against time to be fit after an ankle injury but has been for treatment at Premier League club Stoke this week, although his two-game absence could continue.

But captain Craig McAughtrie and utility man Alex Forde could return to the squad after long lay-offs, for what could be a pivotal game in Rangers' fight for Blue Square North survival.

Elliott's men go into their last Saturday home game of the season a point from safety, with nearest rivals Hyde away at Boston, and the manager has spelled the importance of getting a result.

He said: "It was always going to be a big game but, now, it's imperative that we get something from tomorrow. The stakes are as high as they can be.

"We have to be realistic, we need to pick up points - as simple as that. We need to come out all guns blazing and give it a real go.

"No-one connected with this club wants to see us in the position we are in and we all need to pull together.

"In this league, you have got to be prepared to roll your sleeves up and fight."

Droylsden are ninth in the Blue Square North but have yet to win this month, losing three out of four games, the latest a 3-0 defeat at home to Guiseley on Monday night.

And Elliott has told Rangers to capitalise on the Bloods' poor run of form tomorrow.

He said: "Droylsden are a very good footballing side and were a lot of people favourites to get into the play-offs, earlier on in the season.

"But they have not been on an amazing run of form of late, so the possibility is there for us to get something out of the game."

Rangers will play Worcester at Marston Road in the semi-final of the Central Conference Cup next Wednesday night, with the tie to be decided on the night.
