Kidderminster Harriers boss Steve Burr has branded Richard Money's exit as manager of Saturday's opponents Luton as "absolutely outrageous."

Money's 17-month spell in charge at Kenilworth Road ended by mutual consent on Monday, with the former Walsall boss under pressure after failing to reach the FA Trophy final and a league defeat at Southport.

But Luton are third in the table - two places above Harriers - and are on course to make the play-offs and get their chance to regain their place in the Football League.

The Hatters, who have television presenter Nick Owen as chairman, have replaced Money with his assistant Gary Brabin until the end of the season, whose first game in charge ended in a disappointing goalless draw at home to Barrow last night.

Now Brabin brings his side to Aggborough on Saturday to face the Blue Square Premier's form team, with Harriers unbeaten in 2011 having played 17 games this year.

And Burr, who was rewarded for the club's progress with a new three-year contract last week, cannot understand why Luton have let their manager go at this stage of the season.

He said: "If I am honest with you, I find it absolutely outrageous. They are third in the league, they get to the semi-finals of the FA Trophy and the manager loses his job.

"Some of the people running these football clubs today just never cease to amaze me. No-one has got a divine right to be anywhere and it doesn't matter what sort of money you have put in.

"Everybody is well aware that Luton are a bigger and well supported club than any team in this division, but the fact is that they are in this league and it's very tough to get out of.

"But that's up to them, we will concern ourselves with what we do and we will look forward to the game."
