Wolverhampton's British kickboxing champion Kyle Williams wants a home world title shot by the end of the year after a dream start to life as a pro.

The highly-rated 19-year-old made a sudden impact on his debut by taking apart Welshman Caie Copp in three rounds to claim the ISKA British featherweight title at Kidderminster Town Hall two weeks ago.

Now Williams has set his sights on shooting up the kickboxing ladder by targeting the organisation's European crown and, if successful, a shot at world title holder Johannes Wolf before 2011 is out.

The teenager from Whitmore Reans is already back in the gym after a week off and his trainer at Eclipse in Wolverhampton, former two-time world champion Fran Zuccala, is hoping to get his fighter home advantage for his next big title shot.

Wolverhampton's Civic Hall, Dunstall Racecourse and Light Bar are all being considered as possible venues to stage the fight and Williams is already itching to get back into the ring.

He said: "That's the aim, hopefully that can happen in the next two or three fights. I am just going to keep training and work towards the European, maybe even a world title shot by the end of the year.

"I want to conquer the featherweight division and then move up, I am being ambitious and it's a quick journey, but I feel ready.

"If I train hard and get busy, it's definitely doable."
