But, at the tender age of 24, he has already spent two full years on the sidelines, while his knee recovered from a horrific freak injury sustained in a collision with Stourbridge Saxons team-mate Barney Eastwood.
However, far from fretting about what might have been, the talented 24-year-old fly-half positively oozes enthusiasm about his recent return from Championship outfit Bees to National One Saxons.
He said: "Coming back to Stourton Park was a very easy thing to do. It is a great environment and the people here are brilliant, so I am already really enjoying it.
"Since the end of last season, the arrival of Thinus Delport and Tony Windo has brought a lot more structure and organisation and things at Stourbridge are very professionally run now.
"There are also a lot of new faces on the field, I have especially enjoyed linking up with centres Charlie Hayter and Tom Jarvis, who are really good players.
"I left Stourton for Bees at the end of last season, to try and improve my game by playing at a higher standard. Things started well for me, and I got regular starts or spots on the bench during the opening half of the season.
"Playing against the likes of Cornish Pirates and London Welsh was a great experience as they are big, physical sides who play good rugby.
"The coaching at Bees was also really good – I learnt a lot from Russell Earnshaw and Eugene Martin – so I did benefit from the experience.
"But after the club re-signed Mark Woodrow around Christmas, I didn't really get much of a look-in. From a personal viewpoint it was quite frustrating, as I felt I hadn't done a great deal wrong, and when I got a chance I thought I held my own.
"It is too soon to say what I will be doing next season, but playing at Stourbridge is definitely a viable option, as I enjoy it here and would like to be part of the club's plans for the future."
