Kidderminster Harriers manager Steve Burr has told defender Lee Vaughan not to expect an instant recall to the team at Luton.

The right-back is available again tomorrow after a two-game suspension but his place has been ably filled by Tom Sharpe, shuffling across from centre-half.

Sharpe had been struggling to make the trip to Kenilworth Road after reopening a gash in his knee in the win over Wrexham last Saturday, but returned to training yesterday and has declared himself fit.

However, Steve Burr's men will again be without midfielder Jack Byrne, who is two games into a four-match suspension.

Boss Burr takes his side to Bedfordshire in the last play-off spot but they are walking a tightrope, with Fleetwood snapping at their heels in sixth on the same goal difference although Harriers have a game in hand.

And the manager has warned Vaughan that he may have to settle for a place on the bench in the next phase of the promotion challenge, after hailing the job done at right-back by Sharpe.

Burr said: "It's a headache, but it's a good one because it means Lee is available to us and that's a big plus.

"He's had to sit out two games through suspension and, although we're missing Jack Byrne, it's vital to us to be having bodies available because we'll need every single one of them.

"But Tom has done a super job in there and I don't see it that he's filled in for Lee at all.

"Sharpey is a very good footballer and he has gone in and played well - you know you can ask him to do that almost anywhere and get a performance from him."
