Kidderminster Harriers manager Steve Burr has urged supporters to hit the road with his side as they prepare to continue their play-off challenge at Luton.
Kidderminster Harriers manager Steve Burr has urged supporters to hit the road with his side as they prepare to continue their play-off challenge at Luton.
Harriers go to Kenilworth Road on Saturday three points clear in the last play-off spot, but could be caught if Fleetwood win at Newport County.
There's a feel-good mood around Aggborough at the moment after the team gave themselves a fighting chance of promotion, having hovered around the top five all season despite having five points deducted for financial irregularities.
Off the pitch the club - who were hours away from administration last month - are still financially hard-up but the coffers have been swelled significantly by home gates of 3,000-plus in the last two games, more than double the previous average attendance this term.
And Burr is hoping to see a healthy travelling support when Harriers take on their play-off rivals - managed by former Walsall boss Richard Money - on Saturday.
The Harriers chief said: "There's going to be plenty of atmosphere and it isn't too far for our fans to travel, either, so hopefully we'll take a few.
"To have as many as we did inside the ground in the last two games has made a big, big difference and you could see that with how the players were with the fans at the end of each game.
"If we can take a big number to Luton this weekend then it just keep giving the lads even more of a boost, because confidence is great at the minute.
"It's always been a tough place to go and always will be, but it is just the next hurdle for us to try and overcome.
"Our lads won't be daunted, they're thriving on these types of games."
