Kidderminster Harriers were today no closer to sorting out the future of their transfer-listed top scorer Chris McPhee - who is hoping to stay until the end of the season.

McPhee, the highest earner on the books, was made available by the club last week but started Saturday's 2-0 win over Barrow and got his 10th goal of the season from the penalty spot.

It could have been the last Aggborough will see of Harriers' longest serving player, who will be in the squad to go to Forest Green tomorrow night but could leave at any time if a club come in.

The 27-year-old turned down a move to moneybags Crawley last month and geography is a problem for him, as he is based in Devon and has no desire to uproot his young family.

That means any potential move is not as cut and dried as it may seem and McPhee is happy to hang on at Harriers until his contract expires at the end of the season.

He said: "From a personal point of view, nothing really changes for me. As far as I'm concerned, when I cross that white line and I have got a Kidderminster shirt on, I'll give everything I've got for them.

"If the club get approaches they will deal with it in their way and I'll have to deal with it in my way but, as far as I'm concerned, I'm a Kidderminster player until the end of the season.

"I have enjoyed every minute of my time here, I'm loving my football and this is a great club to play for."
