Stafford Rangers manager Matt Elliott has drawn a line under the Harrogate horror show after reading the riot act to his players ahead of the home game against Corby.

Rangers lost 3-2 at Harrogate on Tuesday after being three down at half-time, with both captain Craig McAughtrie and Levi Reid sent off in the second-half after receiving second yellow cards for dissent.

But both are eligible to play tomorrow as their bans for two weeks, although McAughtrie will miss two games for picking up his second suspension of the season.

Elliott can also call upon Martyn Naylor tomorrow, after the right-back missed Tuesday night's game through work commitments.

And the manager has moved on from that disappointment in North Yorkshire, after laying down a few home truths during last night's training session.

He said: "I have spoken to the players, individually and as a a squad, we have gone over a few things and there was a lot to work on.

"We can't change what is done and all we do is try to alter the future. I didn't expect us to win every game, I wasn't happy on Tuesday night but it's gone - bang, that's it.

"I have stated, a few times already, that I believe we are capable of beating any side in this division but, conversely to that, we are also capable to losing to any of them.

"I am sure we will be down in the lower regions for the remainder of the season, but it's up to us to get ourselves out of the immediate danger of relegation and I still think we are more than capable of doing that.

"We dust ourselves down, brush ourselves off and we go again tomorrow."

Rangers will host the moneybags team of the division, with one of the highest wage budgets in the Blue Square North, who have flattered to deceive on the field this season and go into play 11th in the table.

Elliott has warned his players of the danger the visitors pose but wants Rangers to play their own way tomorrow.

He said: "Corby have, unofficially, one of the higher budgets in the league and will probably be slightly disappointed at their league position, I would say.

"You have got to be mindful of their capabilities and be respectful, but I want us to try and enforce our game on them and make them try to accommodate us.

"But they have got some decent players and it will be a stiff challenge for us, without a doubt."
