Williams, who spent three months on loan at Aggborough from last August, is currently operating on a week-to-week agreement at Wrexham after his terms expired at the end of last year.
There is a six-month contract on the table at the Racecourse Ground which the striker has yet to sign, as he was hoping for the security of a longer deal.
That is likely to rule out a move to Harriers, who are not in a position to offer any long-term contracts until Ollie Thorne's future at the club has been resolved.
The defender is on a month's loan at Rushden & Diamonds but until they decide to take him permanently the purse strings at Aggborough remain tied, apart from temporary moves.
There has been contact between Williams and Harriers manager Steve Burr, where a move was discussed but is unlikely to happen - at least for the time being.
Back at Aggborough today, defender Tom Sharpe is hopeful that he will be fit for Saturday's Blue Square Premier home game with Barrow.
Sharpe had to be replaced after just 10 minutes of Harriers' 2-1 defeat between the two teams at Holker Street on Saturday and has since had 10 stitches in a gash just under his kneecap.
He said: "It's still a bit stiff and sore, I have not done anything on my leg since the weekend so we will have to see how it heals over the next few days, but I can walk around quite pain free.
"Hopefully I will be training again towards the end of the week and it's not going to keep me out for too long, I would think.
"We have got Barrow again on Saturday and hopefully we will get them back, after they did us at the weekend."
