Stafford Rangers midfielder Levi Reid has a "50-50" chance of missing the derby game against AFC Telford at Marston Road with an ankle injury.
Reid had to be replaced after 64 minutes of Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Hyde, as Rangers slipped to six points from safety in the Blue Square North.
The 27-year-old has been struggling for a month after straining the ligaments in his ankle and is now in danger of missing the crunch clash against their local rivals tomorrow night.
He said: "I have been carrying it for a while, to be honest, and taking pain killers to deal with it.
"Before the bad weather, I strained the ligaments in my ankle, but with the all games being called off it gave me time to recover. However, it still hurts when I play.
"I will see how it settles down but I would say I am 50-50 for tomorrow night."
Rangers go into the derby game desperate for a result after their latest defeat, which left manager Tim Flowers with two points from eight games since taking charge and without a goal in the league for six weeks.
But Reid believes, with or without him, the team are capable of beating Telford, especially after doing so in last season's corresponding fixture.
He said: "We need the fans behind us and every game is massive for us now, until the end of the season.
"With the players we have got now we shouldn't be where we are and, if we turn up, we are capable of beating Telford."
