Kidderminster Harriers striker Nick Wright admits he enjoyed returning to Tamworth after overcoming the boo-boys to score on his old ground.

Wright got the first goal as Harriers drew 2-2 in the Blue Square Premier yesterday, in his first game back at the Lamb Ground since leaving for Aggborough last summer.

The 23-year-old took just three minutes to haunt his former club with the opener but made a point of not celebrating, despite heckling from the home fans.

Tamworth came from behind to lead before Matthew Blair equalised, all inside 25 minutes, a point that kept up the pressure on the play-off places for Harriers.

It was a personal relief for Wright to get back in the goals after nine games without a goal and the forward admitted he enjoyed the additional banter.

He said: "It was nice to be back here, to be honest.

"I know I got a lot of stick but it was just a bit of banter between me and the fans - it was nice to get on the score sheet as well.

"I loved being at Tamworth but I have moved on, it was just a bit of respect from myself to not celebrate."

Wright is hoping for an extended run in the starting line-up after being in and out of the side this season, but is happy to leave that decision to manager Steve Burr.

He said: "The gaffer knows what he's doing otherwise he wouldn't be gaffer, would he?

"I am just happy to be playing again."
