Kidderminster Harriers will now have to wait until the New Year to find out if they will punished by their league governing body for financial irregularities.

Harriers were due to receive a second personal hearing at the Football Conference offices in Birmingham today with a decision soon to follow, but the meeting has been postponed until January 6 because of the heavy snow.

Acting director Mark Serrell and secretary David Coldwell had been expected to attend on the club's behalf.

The charge relates to rule 18, giving inacurrate financial information to the league, relating to discrepancies regarding a Financial Reporting Initiative during the period between August 2009 and May 2010.

If found guilty, Harriers could be docked points or fined.

It has postponed rather than resolved the situation for the cash-strapped Blue Square Premier outfit, who face going into administration in the New Year unless they can raise £150,000.

Administration would result in a 10-point penalty, on top of any punishment incurred for the rule 18 charge.

On the field, Harriers could find out today whether their Boxing Day trip to Forest Green Rovers will be postponed.

Both clubs hold out little hope of the game being played but a match official must first inspect the pitch at the New Lawn before a final call can be made, which the hosts are hoping can happen today.

Harriers are also appealing for volunteers to help them clear their own ground of snow, so that their home game against Newport on December 28 can go ahead.

Forecasts have not predicted a natural thaw between now and then, so people able and willing to help should report to Aggborough on Monday December 27 at 9am.
