Kidderminster Harriers manager Steve Burr has backed his side to go through in the FA Trophy despite being handed another tough draw at league rivals Wrexham.

Burr's men will go to the Racecourse Ground on Saturday December 11 after being been handed an all-Blue Square Premier tie at the first hurdle for the second competition in a row, following on from last month's FA Cup exit against York.

Harriers are desperate for a cup run to bring some much-needed cash into the club after a difficult financial period, remedied by former chairman David Reynolds buying the club from Barry Norgrove a month ago.

However, a trip to the much-fancied Dragons - who will have former Harriers men Marc Williams and Mark Creighton in their ranks for the game - represents a real test in the fourth qualifying round.

But Burr's side are flying on the pitch at the moment, unbeaten in seven league games, which has propelled the team to the verge of a play-off place.

In the cups the Aggborough men have had little go their way this season, in stark contrast to the last campaign where they were drawn to lower league opposition in both of the first draws for the FA competitions.

It's a situation that can't be helped but Burr is confident that his rapidly-improving side can stun Wrexham away from home.

He said: "It's not a great draw for us - you can't really wish for anything other than a bit of luck in this sort of situation.

"But, with the form we're in at the minute, there's no reason why we can't go there and get the right result."
