Kidderminster Harriers manager Steve Burr will shuffle his pack and give fringe players a chance to impress in the Worcestershire Senior Cup.

Harriers welcome local rivals Worcester to Aggborough tonight, starting their defence of the trophy at the quarter-final stage.

The visitors will have revenge in mind after they were twice dumped out of cup competition by Burr's men last season, losing an FA Trophy tie in January a month before bowing out of the Senior Cup in February.

The likes of Tom Shaw, Callum Gittings and Nick Wright are all likely to start for Harriers tonight, while there could be a change in goal with second-choice Adam Stevens set for a run-out in place of Danny Lewis.

Defenders Ollie Thorne and Aaron Griffiths could also get some game time after completing suspensions.

Burr is looking for those called upon tonight to play their way into his thoughts for Saturday's Blue Square Premier home game against Eastbourne, with the team unbeaten in six league games.

He said: "It gives us the opportunity to look at one or two of the players that haven't been starting. That is the sort of team that I will be putting out and the whole squad are in contention.

"But it's a game that we want to win, the same as any other. It's a cup competition and, for some of the lads who haven't been playing, it gives them a chance to put themselves forward for contention on Saturday.

"I will be looking for a good performance from my players and it's important that I see lads pushing for a place with their performances tonight.

"If they can do that, I am confident that we will get the right result."
