Stafford Rangers midfielder Darren Wrack has vowed to come back all guns blazing after his suspension and insisted there is "more to come" from him.

The former Walsall campaigner is a game into a three-match ban for a straight red card against Gloucester - manager Tim Flowers' first game in charge - for an alleged elbow on Mike Symons.

Wrack missed Saturday's 3-1 defeat at home to Hinckley and will sit out this weekend's FA Trophy tie at Blyth Spartans along with next Tuesday's game, which will either be a cup replay or a Blue Square North match at Vauxhall Motors.

But the 34-year-old will be back in contention for Rangers' league game at Harrogate on Saturday week, with defender Jermaine Johnson also set to return next Tuesday after a five-match ban.

And Wrack is chomping at the bit to return to playing after admitting his enforced ban has put him back.

He said: "It's obviously frustrating, this suspension has killed me a little bit in that respect.

"But I am still training, I am keeping myself fit in my own time as well, and all I can do is look forward to being available again for the Harrogate game.

"Anybody coming back from suspension is a boost, it gives the manager more options and puts the players in the team under pressure for their places. That said, I have got to earn the right and make sure I deserve my place back in the team.

"I still think I have more to offer and I can be more influential than I have been at times, at this standard the ball is not always on the deck but I am under no illusions to what the league is like."
