Kidderminster Harriers fans will seek answers from the new owner at Aggborough on how the club have manage to spiral into debt at a supporters meeting.

The special meeting was called last week days after former chairman David Reynolds bought the club from Barry Norgrove, in the wake of the shock news that the club were £250,000 in debt.

Reynolds and new board member Mark Serrell will attempt to placate the fans by answering their questions as honestly as possible tonight, hoping they will rally round in the club's hour of need.

The new regime insist Harriers could have been in administration now without their intervention and, with the most immediate threats and obligations fulfilled, believe they are over the worst of the financial turmoil.

But the likes of the Kidderminster Harriers Supporters Trust (KHIST) will want to know how it has come to this in further detail, with their own table booked at tonight's event.

And KHIST acting chairman David Pountney believes there could be the possibility the previous regime have been pulling the wool over their eyes for months.

He said: "We didn't know this was coming and nobody expected the level of debt that we seemed to have. Until we have the full truth and all the details, it's hard to say where the blame lies.

"We will find out more tonight, it's a chance for supporters to come and ask the questions we all want the answers to.

"I am sure it will all come out eventually but it does seem like this has been going on for a long time.

"It's not looking particularly rosy at the moment and there are some tough times coming up."

Tonight's event is all ticket.
