It has been business as usual for the players at Kidderminster Harriers this week despite the recent financial turmoil behind the scenes at Aggborough.
Former chairman David Reynolds bought the club a week ago and laid bare the money worries that the Blue Square Premier outfit face - they could have been in administration by now without his cash injection.
The road back to the black from £250,000 in the red is ongoing but manager Steve Burr has been eager to shield his players from matters off the pitch, which has been made more difficult without a game this weekend, with the team next in action at home to Rushden & Diamonds on Tuesday night.
But Burr has been able to take Ryan Connor from Newcastle Town on trial this week, with the midfielder playing in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Stoke on Tuesday afternoon.
And Harriers are still pushing for the top 10 of the Blue Square Premier table, with striker Chris McPhee insisting the outlook is far from bleak on the field.
He said: "There are a lot of teams in this league that, on any given day, are a tough side to beat, even the clubs coming in from the higher division have commented on how difficult it is to get out of.
"It's very difficult to get out of this league but, if you can do it, it shows the standard that you are at.
"Everyone wants to be be top of the pile but the top five is our aim, because we are a very ambitious young side.
"If we perform like we can every week, we will get more points than are taken from us."
