Carling Cup quarter-final draw

There will be an extra Second City derby this season after Villa were drawn at Birmingham in the Carling Cup.

The claret and blues will cross the city divide to play their fierce rivals in the quarter finals, with a day to go until the first derby of the season at Villa Park.

Albion will be pleased with their draw after they were handed a winnable tie at Championship club Ipswich, with the Baggies currently on fire in league and cup.

Wolves would have gone to relegation rivals West Ham had they got past Manchester United on Tuesday night, while Arsenal's home game with Wigan at the Emirates Stadium completes the round.

All ties will be played on the week beginning November 29.
