Former Kidderminster Harriers favourite Adie Smith is enlisting his former club's help to try and win a £10,000 prize for Rushall Olympic.
Smith is now a player at Olympic, who play in the Evo-Stik League, and are looking to land a five-figure voucher from builders merchants Travis Perkins.
The Pics are one of five finalists in the Evo-Stik League Facilities Makeover Competition 2010 and each club has to present a video package of why they feel they would be the most worthy winners, with public votes the deciding factor.
Rushall and Chasetown for the West Midlands, along with Lancaster, Buxton and Stamford, are all in the running, but Smith's club are by no means the biggest among them.
Dales Lane is in dire need of a spruce up, so the 37-year-old has turned to his friends at Aggborough - where he made 230 appearances for Harriers between 1997 and 2004 - for help.
He said: "We are one of the smaller clubs still left in the competition, so we can't really compete with some of the other fan bases.
"It would be absolutely fantastic if some of the Harriers fans could check out our video entry on the website and get us a few more votes.
"The £10,000 would really work wonders for the club, so any help we can get would be really appreciated!"
