Stafford Rangers' players are chomping at the bit to get started under new manager Tim Flowers as the former England goalkeeper takes charge at Marston Road.
Flowers was in the stands for Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Nuneaton as caretaker boss Steve Wynn took the team, before relinquishing all control to the one-time Premier League winner after the game.
The 43-year-old will take training for the first time tomorrow night, with another session on Thursday before Saturday's home game with Gloucester.
And the team could have snatched a point for their new manager in the match at the weekend, with only a superb save from former Rangers goalkeeper Danny Alcock denying Ashley Wooliscroft an equaliser to Kyle Storer's opener.
Now Rangers move on to life under Flowers and winger Levi Reid is one of many who are looking forward to it.
He said: "Tim came in after the game to speak to the boys, he wants us to kick on tomorrow night at training and be ready for Saturday's home game.
"We have got someone in who has played at the top level himself, all the lads are fired up to play under him and we want to get our season kick-started now.
"It will be how he wants it, new ideas, new systems in training and I am really looking forward to it, to be honest.
"He's been there and done it, so hopefully it will have a knock-on effect."
