Coseley light middleweight Jamie Ball's fight for the Midlands title has been switched to a dinner show in Birmingham on Christmas week.

Ball was originally supposed to meet Telford's Kieron Gray for the belt at Wolverhampton Civic Hall on November 28, but the bout will now take place at the Holiday Inn on Queensway just under a month later.

The Monday of Christmas week, December 20, will see the co-challengers slug it out over 10 rounds for the vacant area crown, in both fighters' first title shot as professionals.

The chief support bout will see Halesowen's boxing Royal Marine Keith Sheen take on Birmingham's Andrew Patterson in a rematch of their cracking six-round welterweight contest at the same venue in July, which ended a fighting draw.

The Black Country presence is rounded off by Tipton super bantamweight prospect Lee Glover, the two time ABA semi-finalist and Midlands champion as an amateur, who will finally meet Frenchman Yannis Lakrout in a fight that has been six months in the making.

The two were originally supposed to meet on July's show, with Glover instead beating Walsall veteran Delroy Spencer on points.

However, 'the Tipton Slasher' must first come through a four-rounder with much-travelled Bulgarian Stoyan Serbezon at the Meadowside Leisure Centre in Burton-on-Trent on October 29.

The bill is rounded off by Birmingham super middleweight Eddie McIntosh, who returns to action for the first time since his disappointing first-round exit in Prizefighter in June, at his home from home where he has won six of his 12 professional fights.

Tickets for the show are selling fast although a limited number of ringside tables are still available, priced at £1,000 for a table of 10.

Single seats are also available, priced at £60 each or £500 for a table of 10.

All tickets include a three course meal and can be purchased by calling promoter Paul 'PJ' Rowson on on 07976 283 157.
