Teenager Richard Lloyd left the opposition in a spin after claiming the final Express & Star-Hawk Cricket Player of The Month award of the summer.
Teenager Richard Lloyd left the opposition in a spin after claiming the final Express & Star-Hawk Cricket Player of The Month award of the summer.
The Old Hill off-spinner, who turns 18 today, had further cause for celebration after bagging a £75 voucher from the Belbroughton-based bat makers.
Richard returned the staggering figures of 6-6 - including a hat-trick in a Worcestershire Crusader League clash with Feckenham - to claim the September prize.
Feckenham were 90-4 when Richard was introduced into the attack, with his amazing blitz reducing them to 103 all out, but failed to grab the match ball as a memento.
He added: "It was one of those days when everything clicked."
Hawk have sponsored the monthly award for local cricketers for the past two seasons.
While Richard celebrates his success, the search is now on for one lucky cricketer to land Hawk's bumper end-of-season prize for the Cricketer of the Year.
See tomorrow's Express & Star for further details of this big-hitting competition.
