Darren Wrack could return to the Stafford Rangers team at Hinckley on Saturday provided he can prove his fitness at the next training session.

Wrack missed Tuesday night's FA Cup exit at home to Eastwood with a sickness bug, a setback after two straight starts since joining on non-contract forms as a free agent.

Manager Chris Brindley will be eager to welcome back the 34-year-old for their return to Blue Square North action, especially with another suspension coming up after Jermaine Johnson's red card on Tuesday night.

The former Walsall midfielder will train with the squad tonight at Marston Road, along with striker Nick Wellecomme who made his return as a second-half substitute against Eastwood after six weeks out with an ankle injury.

And Wrack is confident he will be passed fit to make the trip to Leicestershire on Saturday.

He said: "I was sick all of Saturday and I still hadn't been able to eat properly on Tuesday, it was a sickness bug that my daughter and my partner had as well, so it obviously made it's way through the family!

"Unfortunately, I was in no position to do myself or the team any good, I let my head rule my heart otherwise I could have been out for Saturday as well.

"I feel OK now, I have been eating properly and managed to build myself back up a bit, I will train tonight and see how I am after that.

"Bugs can set you back a week or so, it can really take it out of your system, but hopefully I can get over it quickly because I want to be playing."
