Harriers' striking poser for Bath trip
Kidderminster Harriers admit they have an embarrassment of riches in attack ahead of the Blue Square Premier trip to Bath City.
Kidderminster Harriers admit they have an embarrassment of riches in attack ahead of the Blue Square Premier trip to Bath City.
Harriers head to Twerton Park tonight unbeaten in six league games, while their struggling hosts have won just once in 11 games since promotion from the Blue Square South.
Such is the form of the Aggborough men that Nick Wright couldn't even get a place in the squad for Sunday's 2-0 home win over AFC Wimbledon, in which Chris McPhee scored from the front and Marc Williams - replacing Lee Morris as the second striker - scored as a substitute.
Williams is pushing for a start tonight but Morris is also set to be available, after suffering a knock last time out, with seemingly the best that Wright can hope for is a place on the bench.
Assistant boss Gary Whild admits it's a nice position to be in - even if not everyone is happy.
He said: "Nick was disappointed to miss out on Sunday, but by the same token he understood the situation.
"From a management position it is a great thing to have a player of his calibre waiting in the wings.
"You have Marc Williams as well who has come off the bench and scored against Wimbledon, so it is good to know there are players looking to come in and do a job."
Harriers go to Bath keen with their tails up after their best home win of the season on Sunday, but Whild warns it will count for nothing if they lose tonight.
He added: "If we be professional and do the right things then the result will take care of itself."
