Injury woe for speedway Pirates

Speedway outfit Poole have suffered a setback just four days before the second leg of their Elite League play-off against Wolves.

Reserve Jason Doyle could be out for the rest of the season after suffering a dislocated shoulder in a moto-cross accident.

The Pirates were using their veteran number eight Gary Havelock in tonight's league match at Ipswich and the 41-year-old former world champion comes into contention against Wolves on Monday.

Poole hold the upper hand against the reigning champions following Monday's 44.5-44.5 first leg draw.
