Harriers expecting duo to be fit
Kidderminster Harriers expect captain Keith Briggs and Lee Morris to shake off knocks and be fit to face Hayes & Yeading United at Aggborough.
Kidderminster Harriers expect captain Keith Briggs and Lee Morris to shake off knocks and be fit to face Hayes & Yeading United at Aggborough.
Briggs sustained a scrape on his ankle after a challenge in last Saturday's 2-1 win at Altrincham, while Morris has been a slight doubt with a tight adductor muscle this week.
Harriers can also welcome back defender Mark Albrighton tomorrow after a one-match ban, although the 34-year-old may be denied the chance of an instant recall by Ollie Parker, who impressed on his debut at Altrincham after signing from Newport County.
Striker Marc Williams is another who may struggle to get back into the team after returning from Wales under-21 international duty this week with Chris McPhee, Lee Morris and Nick Wright all impressing in his absence.
Last week's success was Harriers' first since the opening day and they have yet to win on their own ground this season, but now have back-to-back home games with tomorrow and next Saturday's visit of Cambridge.
Hayes & Yeading would leapfrog them in the lower half of the table with a win, although they face a side with renewed optimism that they have turned a corner after winning their last game.
But Harriers assistant boss Gary Whild is urging the players to approach the task with caution.
He said: "Any team would like to say that their home form is good and we're exactly the same.
"I think we've got across the line and hopefully on Saturday we can get that first win.
"Hayes have picked up some good results this season and that shows you that they're no mugs.
"We have got to patient and be wary – they are going to be difficult to beat."
