Halesowen's new owners slam trust

Halesowen Town's new owners have slammed the door shut on the Yeltz Trust just days after their takeover.
The Ingram brothers, Godfrey and Graham, insist they will cut all ties with the supporters' outfit who they feel are undermining the club.
The duo's takeover was rubber-stamped by the FA last month but they have acted after the Trust claimed they were unable to speak to the new owners. ]
A statement released this morning said: "Halesowen Town Football Club no longer recognises the Yeltz Supporters Society LTD in any official capacity related to the football club other than an independent local activist group with its own agenda.
"This position shall remain until such a time that the Yeltz Supporters Society LTD formally changes its agenda to one of; formation for the purpose of assisting Halesowen Town Football Club to achieve its commercial, community and sporting objectives."
The Ingrams also insist the Yeltz Trust's ambition for the club to be run by the supporters is harming their ability to net much-needed revenue.
The statement continued: "The club believe this agenda is blinding the majority of its supporter members from recognising and acknowledging the massive cash commitment made by the new owners.
"The Yeltz Trust continues to undermine the integrity of the club with suspicions directed towards the new owners' motivations for ownership and negative public statements that ultimately discourages commercial partnerships or voluntary participation at the club by supporters."
The Trust had claimed they were cut out of the club since former chief executive Brendan Phillips left in May and wanted more dialogue.
Chairman Gary Willetts said: "As far as we're concerned the door remains open. We've made efforts to keep communication open and that remains the same.
"Obviously it's up to the club to make their own decision."
