Kidderminster Harriers could hand a debut to Nick Wright against Burton Albion at Aggborough after signing the striker from Tamworth.

Left-back Aaron Griffiths is also likely to be in the team after putting pen to paper on a one-year deal this morning tomorrow (3pm), following a successful trial period.

Wright is known to manager Steve Burr through his call-up to the England C team in 2008, where the Harriers boss is assistant to national coach Paul Fairclough.

The 22-year-old has spent the last three seasons at Tamworth after starting his career at hometown club Birmingham, attracting cash bids from Kettering in 2008 and Stevenage earlier this year.

But Harriers have managed to snare him on a free transfer, with the pacy forward signing a one-year deal at Aggborough.

Wright may be the star of Harriers' future, but a star of the past will be in town tomorrow when Russell Penn lines up for Burton in the pre-season friendly.

Penn returns to Aggborough for the first time since leaving in a £30,000 deal last summer, after four years with Harriers.

Burr never got to work at club level with the midfielder, having joined as boss in January, but knows him from his work with the national team.

He said: "Russell did very well here and I am sure our fans will be looking forward to seeing him in action."

Football League club Burton are expected to field a full-strength team, with this their last pre-season friendly before their League Two campaign kicks off next week.

Burr is expected to follow suit, but has not ruled out chopping and changing depending on how the game pans out.

He said: "We have still got three games left, but at this point we have got to start to looking at the lads who are going to be in the team when we go to York on the opening day.

"This will be a good test for our boys, Burton are a good side."
