A teenage striking sensation has been signed up by Albion for next season.

George Cater, who attends Cheslyn Hay Sports and Community High School, will be playing for the club's under-14s side.

The 13-year-old, of Shirewood, Cannock, has just had his kit arrive and will be starting training with the Baggies tomorrow.

His proud father Gary said George had a sensational 2009/2010 season, scoring 80 goals for his school, Brewood Juniors and Norton Canes FC.

Albion moved in for him and he played some under-13 games for them as well, but this season will be only be playing for the Baggies and training three times a week.

Mr Cater said: "George has been playing since he was eight and was signed for Wolves when he was only nine and played for them for two years.

"George is a Leeds United fan, like his father, and his dream is to become a professional player.

"Football is his life. He is a very dedicated young player."

George has just come back from a Poland tour with his Sunday side Brewood Juniors and was named most talented and gifted player for all age groups at Brewood - an award made by club chairman Mac Webb.

Andy Blakeway, George's Brewood manager at under-13 level, said the youngster possessed the attributes needed to go all the way.

He said: "George has got pace, desire, a good football brain and confidence."
