Meole Brace continued their recent run of good form with a 12-2 victory over Newport in the Furrows Shropshire Premier Bowls League.

It saw them close the gap on leaders Castlefields to seven points, although Fields have a game in hand.

The defending champions will also be happy with their six point return from their trip to Bowring which saw them claim the aggregate.
