Stafford Rangers have filled the void in their backroom staff with the appointment of Steve Wynn as assistant to boss Chris Brindley.

The ever-revolving door between AFC Telford and Rangers continues with the arrival of the new No 2 from the Bucks Head, to replace Darren Read who made the opposite journey last month.

Wynn had found himself pushed out of the picture at Telford after Andy Sinton was appointed manager, with the former Wolves and England winger bringing in his own staff of Read and Walsall academy coach John Psaras.

That left Wynn in limbo, who had spent the past four years backing up assistant Larry Chambers and ex-boss Rob Smith, before both were sacked in April after the Bucks failed to make the play-offs.

But now Wynn has now found a home back at Marston Road, where he was a player in the late 1980's.

A renowned fitness coach to boot, winger Levi Reid is one of many on the playing staff who will interested to hear what the new man has to say on the training ground.

He said: "I don't know Steve personally, to be honest, but last season's squad, depending on who stays and goes, are the sort of bunch to just get on with it.

"Everyone will make him welcome, I know he is respected for his fitness work but that wasn't really the problem with us last season, so we are not off the pace in that respect.

"I will listen to anybody, if something is said to me I will take it on board."
