Lee Glover will not rest until his mark has been made on the super bantamweight division and has lined up his next fight - six days after getting into the ring.
The 22-year-old only made his professional debut last Sunday at Wolverhampton Civic Hall but what a bow it was, blasting out experienced international opponent Elemir Rafael in just two rounds.
Glover had all of one day off before returning to training for his second bout, as the headline attraction of a four-fight dinner show at Birmingham's Holiday Inn on July 22.
'The Tipton Slasher' will face the never-stopped Frenchman Yannis Lakrout in a four-rounder, as the next step in a minimum of five fights the Black Country boxer wants under his belt by the end of the year.
Glover was nearly not allowed to box at all after being refused a pro licence last year for failing a brain scan, despite a very promising amateur career, with 12 months of wrangling and the all-clear from two different specialists needed to change the minds of the British Boxing Board of Control.
And the ABA Midlands champion is dying to make up for lost time.
He said: "When they told me I couldn't box last year I still kept on training, because I knew whatever time it cost me would set me back. In fact, I haven't stopped training at all since then, because there is no time to waste.
"When a title or something big is in the bag, maybe then I will relax."
Also in action at the Holiday Inn are Halesowen welterweight Keith Sheen - the boxing Royal Marine - along with Dudley middleweight Sam Padgett and Stourbridge light welter Richie Wyatt.
