Lee Baker leaving after Harriers snub

Kidderminster Harriers left-back Lee Baker has sensationally turned down the club's offer of a new contract - as AFC Telford winger Matthew Blair was offered a two-week trial.
Baker appeared happy to commit his future to Harriers last week after being formally offered a new deal by manager Steve Burr, having already turned down the chance to leave Aggborough.
But the sticking point appears to be the length of the terms - Harriers only offered a year - which have now been bettered elsewhere by a mystery club, which could even be the same suitors who came in for him earlier in the summer.
Either way, the 21-year-old expects to sign with a new club tomorrow, bringing to an end a near two-year stay.
Manager Steve Burr was made aware of the player's decision yesterday.
He said: "Lee has told me that he has been made an offer that he just can't turn down.
"Obviously we are very disappointed with the news, he was a player I really wanted to keep, but ultimately we have lost out.
"At least Lee had the decency to phone me and tell me."
It has also emerged that Blair - son of former Villa and Coventry midfielder Andy - will join up with Harriers for the start of pre-season training on July 5.
The 20-year-old goes with the blessing of his club, whose new manager Andy Sinton has left the door open at the Bucks Head for his return.
He said: "I can't blame Matty because it's a step up. He's only going on a two-week trial and I've told him I'd love to get him back in if it doesn't work."
