Suitors to the services of star striker Nick Wellecomme this summer are being warned that it will take an offer that can't be refused for him to leave Stafford Rangers.
Blue Square North rivals Corby and Hinckley, the latter having previously trailed the player last season, are both interested in taking the captain away from Marston Road.
And the 13-goal top scorer's future has been in doubt ever since his very public argument with a section of his own fans in a home game against Vauxhall Motors in April, which saw him refuse to play in a match at Solihull Moors two days later.
But Wellecomme returned to the fold, took back the armband and played out the season, giving fans hope that their skipper might stay after all.
Midfielder Tom Thorley certainly hopes that will be the case, after being nurtured by the club's on-pitch leader ever since first coming to the club as an 18-year-old from Stoke in July 2008.
He said: "Nick has been a good servant to the club over a tough last two years, especially after stepping up to the captaincy. He would be a big loss, definitely.
"He has been good to me as well being one of the older players, so I would be disappointed to see him go as much as anybody.
"But he's got a big heart and it would take a pretty good offer for him to consider moving.
"It would be a big wrench for him to leave Stafford Rangers."
Rangers have also announced that NCA are to be their new kit supplier effective for next season.
Details of the new strip are expected to be announced in due course.
