Wolves snap up young gun Ashley

Young local speedway charger Ashley Morris has signed with Wolves.

Morris, on his 16th birthday, put his name on the dotted line at the Express & Star's Wolverhampton office.

The British under-15 champion, from Pendeford, is currently riding for the revived Dudley Heathens in the sport's third tier and will stay on loan there this season.

But he has his eyes on a gradual climb up the ladder. "I want to be in the Elite League and I want to be world champion," he said.

"There's no use aiming low if you are a rider."
