Rangers door open to loan duo

Stafford Rangers are leaving the door ajar for loan stars Ross Davidson and Danny Glover as the young duo chase another chance in the Football League.
The 20-year-old youngsters are facing up to life without a club for the first time this summer after their release from boyhood club Port Vale, and are set to join League Two club Burton Albion on a two-week trial in a bid to win a contract.
Both have experience at professional level after 67 first-team appearances between them for Vale but, with the market already becoming awash with players as clubs continue to cut their cloth accordingly in the economic climate, nothing is iron-clad for their futures.
Rangers think highly of the pair and Davidson in particular, having signed him on loan twice during the season in a total of three months spent at Marston Road, while Glover spent the last month of the campaign with Chris Brindley's men.
Dropping to semi-professional level would be a last option for the league-reared duo, who rely on football as their only income, but if they were to drop to the Blue Square North a club they know well could be the preferred option.
And Rangers assistant boss Darren Read has revealed both players could be made an offer - but has warned them not to drag their heels for too long.
He said: "We have spoken to both of the lads and they know our situation. If they don't get picked up, after our discussions with them, we want to sit down with them and hopefully thrash out a deal.
"It's an offer we will leave open as long as we can but, at the end of the day, we have to look after Stafford Rangers and need players that are going to be committed to the club."
