Kidderminster Harriers will go with just one goalkeeper in the squad for tonight's final home game of the season after loan signing Ross Atkins returned to Derby County.

The 20-year-old is needed back at Pride Park as cover for Saul Deeney with Stephen Bywater injured for the final two games of the Championship season, having originally been set to see out the campaign with Harriers.

Atkins was out of the team at Aggborough in any case, with Jasbir Singh preferred in Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Stevenage who will go it alone against Barrow tonight, as Dean Coleman is still out after groin surgery.

The team come into the match looking to say goodbye to their home fans with a win, with little else to play for after a season that has fizzled out at the last, having fell away from the play-offs and been knocked out of the FA Trophy semi-final.

But manager Steve Burr will carry on looking for a response from his players.

He said: "We want to finish as strongly as we can and, if we can win tonight, we will sign off in the right way. Barrow are a tough side to play against but have escaped relegation now, so maybe the pressure is off for them.

"I am just looking at performances to put people in my mind for next season."

The manager has not ruled out shuffling around his squad with two games still left to play after tonight, Thursday's Worcestershire Senior Cup final at home to Halesowen and Saturday's Blue Square Premier curtain call at Mansfield.

It will round of a nine-game month for the increasingly tiring Harriers.

Burr said: "With all the games that we have had recently, I have tried to keep the lads as fresh as I can by changing things around. You can see that they are very leggy because they have had a lot to do and it has had an effect.

"The squad are carrying a lot of injuries, bumps, bruises and just little knocks that you pick up when you are playing a lot of games. A lot of it is fatigue."
