Kidderminster Harriers manager Steve Burr admits the club could face a battle from the Football League to keep hold of Player of the Year Brian Smikle.
The 13-goal top scorer took home the season's award before Saturday's home game against Stevenage but the on-field result was not so pleasing, as Boro ran out 2-0 winners to secure the Blue Square Premier title and promotion to the Football League.
But it's been a productive season for Smikle and it has been recognised by the club, who have already made him a contract offer with his current deal set to expire at the end of the campaign.
Manager Steve Burr has seen the 24-year-old flourish further since arriving as boss in January and is hoping to persuade the winger to stay for for a fifth season at Aggborough - but does expect interest from elsewhere.
The Harriers chief said: "The ball is in his court now on whether he will accept what we are offering, I would like him to stay but he's an ambitious lad and has rightfully got aspirations to play in the Football League.
"I obviously haven't seen him for all of the season, but he has been one of our better players since I came here without a doubt."
